Sri Lanka tourism recorded a 12% increase for the month of June with an arrival mark of 115,467. The arrivals were mainly boosted by China and India. The first six months saw a record 830,051 arrivals which was an increase of 14% as against the same period in 2014.

The traditional Western European market remained the largest source of visitors in the six months to June 2015, up almost 15 percent to 256,567 from the year before.Arrivals from India was up to 25,860 a 30% increase while China arrivals increase by 86% to record 15,487
