Why a share is going up after announcement of a split?  I can not see any benefit for a share holder after the split.

After splitting shares its value drops & no of shares held before the split get increased. Nominal value of the share is unchanged.
One reason is many are attracted to such valued shared with low pricing (affordable) level. Also, if a company thinks their prices in the sector is high comparing to others they may do so.

Share looks more attractive when it's 101 than buying 202. if LB finance did 10:1 spilt this would have touched 275 easily. Look at sfin, if Lfin was spillted 10:1 eps would be 3. I
That's why AAIC will have major upside.

I don't see this going below 160 levels. It's stuck around these levels because of the market downtrend. When market turnaround n when spilt dates are close by this will go up.

LFIN is a amazing company. EPS 31 is superb for last financial year, but price is not adjusted yet.
Look COCR is trading 10x PER.
So, Valuation wise LFIN should trade EPS 31 X 10 PER = Rs.310/-.
I think above Rs.250/- is easy target before split.
Also you have Rs.10/- big dividend pending.

LFIN 2014 EPS was 19.35. But 2015 they reported 31.51 massive EPS with passing 2.1 billion profit mark. Also they kept 2 Bn around impairment provision before this EPS of 31.51. Also they have cash 6 billion. but LFIN took bit time for their price adjustment. One reason may be pending split announcement. Now seems to be LFIN under intelligent investors eye. We can expect further run in coming days.
Earlier with the 31.03.2015 financials, I thought LFIN will trade at least 250/- soon. Now seems window is open.
