Palm Garden Hotels PLC is a Sri Lanka-based company, which is principally engaged in hoterliering. The Company offers various services, including accommodation, food and beverages, and outlet services. The Company, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in the business of providing hotel services. The Company, through its subsidiaries, has operations in Kalowamodara, Aluthgama; Batheegama, Dickwella; Moragalle, Beruwala, and Maldives. The Company's subsidiaries include Eden Hotel Lanka PLC and Riverina Resorts (Pvt) Ltd. Riverina Resorts (Pvt) Limited is engaged in the construction of a resort and structures of the guest room wings consisting of approximately six floors.

Palm Garden Hotels PLC group from Srilanka has invested over US$ 500,000 to acquire shares of Bodufaru Beach Resort Pvt Ltd in the Maldives. This amounts to 33.33% equity of the company and to develop a resort in the Maldives.
The Palm Garden Hotels investment was made jointly by Eden Hotel Lanka PLC and Browns Investments PLC.
Bodufaru Beach Resort Pvt Ltd is a limited liability company incorporated in the Republic of Maldives and they also holds a 50 year head lease for the island of Bodufarufinolhu in the Maldives issued by the Government of Maldives.
With this investment Bodufaru Beach Resort will be an associate of Eden Hotel Lanka PLC and a subsidiary of Palm Garden Hotels PLC and Browns Investments PLC.

They did a right issue at Rs55..! And now trading at Rs35.
That's a 1/3 discount to the right issue price.

Same like Reef few weeks ago market hasnt had a chance look into PALM yet. Compare to Reef this is highly illiquid share.

Only 10% of the company shares in the market and stilltrading 1/3 discount to right issue price.

Right issue was dont at Rs55.

this is the biggest hotel project in southern Sri lanka.

Riverina Resorts(Pvt)Ltd is a fully owned subsidiary of Palm Garden Hotels PLC,which is the new hotel project and it is to be completed in 2016.

PALM had a right issue at 55 so it can move up,not only PALM other hotel sector shares also trying to move.Better to get in to one of those buses.
