Dont worry friend, I am dealing in this market from early19 ninetees. We had a very bad times and some instances PF value droped by 40%. -50%. Yet we continued and now my original investment has grown by over 2000%. That means CSE is not a devil and you will be rewarded by it in the long term. That is why we have to be carefull with manipulations and mushroom type stocks. If you are smart enough you can earn with those stocks too by dealing carefully for a very short period.

Dear kam2011,

I agree with your comments about CSE. But following is not very clear. Appreciate if you can elaborate it little further, pl.

You have been dealing in the market from early nineties. Say from 1991, i.e., 20 years now. Your PF has now grown up over 2,000%. i.e., over 20 times.

In other words, your initial 1,000 rupees invested 20 years ago has now grown up to 20,000 rupees ?

Approximately an AVERAGE of 19.50% PF value increase annually?

Dear Mark,

Your calculation makes sense. (Yes, the actual pf growth should be much more than 2,000% over a period of 10 to 20 years)

Thanks Mark.

1000 fixed deposit at 16% interest for 20 years gives approximately 20,000
(Those days finance companies gave 24% interest, even HSBC gave 19% I remember)
In the long term shares should outperform bank deposits. But we can't expect the same thing happened after the war again, the world's best performing stock market thing.
On the other hand begging is a very profitable profession.

Wrong. There are two Lalith Heengamas.. One is the GREG Chairman...and the other one is the person who writes for newspapers...it is not the same Lalith Heengama...
