I think Land prices will shoot up within the next one year. Reasons are due to signing of ETCA and implementation of Megapolis concept.
ETCA will bring in many investors from India to set up industries and services. This will create a high demand for lands and buildings. Services will also create demand for housing with influx of professionals from India. This will pave the way for the International Community to invest in Sri Lanka without fear.
Megapolis concept will lead to demarcation of the identified land for residential, industrial, service, business and commercial enterprises. This will add value to existing land.
Therefore there could be a boom in the pricing of the limited land.
