Apparently the probable of occurrence of foreign buying goes on. At one stage this has to be decelerated once the market reaches overbought situation. After market correction taken place could short to mid term locals continue buying pattern?

I don't think locals put their hard earned money to CSE like before . There are several reasons on it . Political unrest, high interest rates for fixed deposits , less disposable income , government policies , plantation crisis, rupee depreciation, previous loss experiences with CSE may drive the market for a dull session in coming months.

on the other hand positives can come in and drive market higher.
FDI's( hambanthota deal ..ect)
stabilization of rupee
GSP+
reverse in interest rate cycle(rates will be coming down in second half of year)

first half government credit demand is very high. but second half government credit demand is less. definitely 1-1.5% can be drop second half.

private sector credit growing is settle down around 14-16%, that is very good news for market.

local institution will put some money.

A faction of economists comments a further plunge of the economy in the future while another group opines a positive outlook in the latter part of year 2017. Perhaps such intellectuals may be lobbying their favorites.
However, foreign investors place more weight on reports from international financial agencies over analysis & interpretations locally done.
