Profit figures of Plantation Companies up to November is leaked to the market. As December auction prices are also high the plantation company share prices have started moving up.

Buy at correct prices and exit at the correct time.

Happy December.

The Russian Federation on Thursday announced that tea imports from Sri Lanka had been banned due to the detection of a single specimen of the agricultural pest, the beetle Trogoderma Granarium in the packaging material of a consignment of tea shipped from Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka exports more than 23% of its total tea exports to Russia comprising millions of kilos annually

the Russian thing would be a temporary setback.
The profits are good last quarter and it should be even ok to settle off the year even,
The TEA shares are to have a good run soon,
The russian story would bring mix feelings and with that will give good opportunities,
as soon as the ban is lifted we would see a good rise on the shares once more,
If the timing is perfect, with the lifting off the ban and the results officially coming out in jan,
the shares would be pushed 20 to 30% from current levels

Every thing will depend on Auction Prices and how long it gonna take to resolve the issue. Obviously Ceylon Tea Board need strategic marketing campaign to regain customer confidence in due time.

Once the diplomatic issue is sorted out tea prices will go up and up.

As soon as the ban is lifted we would see a good rise on the shares once more,

the shares would be pushed 20 to 30% from current levels

smart move to get some grace towards ceylon tea from Russia, surely things would workout now.January would be a good month for Tea shares once more.
