They have announced a Rs 9\= Dividend-At current Price the Yield is appx 32%-with such a high yield-why is the share not moving?-Recently they also mentioned of a Rs 1.3b project-Maybe they are sweetening the share to announce a mega Rights later on?-This is my opinion

But the ratio of bonus share not given. Is it only cash dividend

Theoretically should come down to 15 - 13 after xd and your cost at that time if you buy now will be around 18. My opinion not to buy at current price

(29*3/4)=21
21-2.5 (x,dividend) = 19
19*80%=15
Since the shares are illiquid and due to the current situation of stock market a further discount of 20% after xd. (This 20% is subjective and will vary from person to person)

There is no Bonus Issue-The entire Rs 9\= is Dividend-Rs 2\50 Cash and the Balance Rs 6\50 as Scrip Div-Thus the theortical XD Price should be equal to the price that prevailed before the Dividend announcement-which was somewhere in the Rs 21-22\=range.

A Scrip Div Share is not equal or the same as a Bonus Share.
Let me explain-A Bonus Share will go to reduce your Cost of the Share-So for Eg. if you had 100 Shares at a cost of Rs 10\= each and you get a 1 for 10 Bonus-Then your new Cost will be (100*10)/110=Rs 9\09.In a Scrip Div Issue the shares alloted will be based on the Value of the Scrip Div itself-This value you will get in Shares and will be treated as Income-ie Gross less WHT-it has nothing to do with the cost of the Share

This comes under power and energy sector .
With the recent price hike in electricity this would have a very positive impact on its profits .
Good dividend counter with less free float
Will early positions help ?
