CSE Indices would react to developments in the political front from now on wards based on balance of probability of possible outcome at the forthcoming Presidential election.
In my opinion the Business Confidence Index & CSE indices would react positively if the balance of probability is in favour of 'Gota' based on the sluggish progress/performance shown by the UNF govt in the progress of the economy and virtually in all fronts.
Overall progress of the nation should take priority over sectoral progress. The country needs leaders and not actors who change costumes and roles in order to only attract votes.

The main reason for all the problems of this Gov was the clash between MS and RW, which resulted in a breakdown of governance.
With MS out of the picture, even if is a Rajapakse Gov or UNF Gov, that is formed after the Presidential Election, political stability is expected prevail.

If UNF/DNF returns to power the market will slump. But the chances of that happening is very remote. So, market would maintain ground or improve based on better future prospects. Cheers!
