There is a chance to postpone election due to world emergency situation . Currently so many countries have shut down their day to day activities . 25% of Italy populations at struct homes today, so many air lines have stopped traveling . In this situation , in case if this spreads to sri Lanka, this can be a direct impact to election . Crowd gathering will be more risky.

Instead of postponing the GE, Election commission might discourage parties to organize such gathering/discourage people to participate in such events..... electronic/print media campaigns for parties to present their policies/manifestos and home-to-home visits by small groups to promote a candidate(s) can be recommended.

I like your suggestion but two major parties have their own channels. There are so many henchaiyaas will spend for them . What about other parties? Who will spend for them?

I predicted this 1.5 years before on FB in someone's post. I do not like to reveal myself here otherwise I can post a screenshot. but I didn't know the virus triggered this. this might be another 1930. now almost 100 years completed after the great depression. wave didn't hit the Srilanka yet.
If we cant find vaccine within a few months enter global economy under recession.
