It is an overvalued share. Better to keep away from PCH.

PCH is really overvalued. Don't fall in to fake rallies and rumours. Go behind stocks which have a value in it. There are lot of undervalued stocks in CSE. Go through the previous posts and do your own analysis before you buy.One day you will be a winner. Fundamentals never go wrong

I dont know on what basis some say its overvalued. But I would like to share my studies and experiance on PCH.

PCH is a growing company. Still they are not getting any + return on their BPO business. But even based on Q1 2012 data, EPS for the quarter is 25cts., which is an annual EPS of Rs.1/=. During last four quarters growth rate of PCH is 35%. That means the share currently trades at 18x, which is a fair value. Based on FY 2012 (Current FY) expected earnings, it trades at 13x, if we expect same growth rate to continue, as IT secter is growing at a faster rate, it trades at 10x FY 2013.

PCH share always traded above 18x as its popular among retailers. Further if you analysed the trading patterns, even when market was collapsing it came down only to Rs.15/- level. Last month it went upto Rs.23/-. Last twelve month high is Rs.32.20.

So, my opinion is Rs.18/- is a good price to buy. But collect on slabs (ie : 18/-, 17.50, 18.50 baused on the movement). Last month I sold PCH between 20.50 - 22.00, which I bought arround 17/-. Now I am again buying. Any how this is not a recomendation to BUY. I have just explained the valuation as there was some posts saying its over valued. Shares are not trading on historical data, but on mostly on future expectations. But do your own studies. Most of the required data are available on www.cse.lk.

ABBEST,

I agree with you . If we take only the financial factors to assess a value a share ppl will not by EAST,LHCL,CLND,ASIR,AMSL,TESS ,REEFor HVA at current price levels.I also bought and sold with a good profit. Value is determined by Demand and Supply. Demand and Supply are depend on many factors. I personaly feel Other than the factors like EPS,NAV,Future value, Restructuring,Merging,Change in management and Improved Business environment even manipulation is also a factor to determine D and S)

from fundamental point of view pch is a good counter at 15 to 16. but pch is heavily played by several people, so its difficult to tell good entry and exit points. right now it seems it wont go much lower then 17.50, but this can change in 1 day.
