Thanks for Sirasa media for educating the public bringing into light the hidden reports from public. It is the public's responsibility to read attentively all kind of other media reports & weigh the accuracy impartially.

Whatever, as media disclosed I salute Mr.President in his bold decision to cancel the transaction. Investors are waiting to read more of post revelation of the approval process & what actions be taken against the culprits if any.

Sirasa Staff, I salute you too.

You can salute all you want - neither the President or anybody else can "cancel" the transaction. What is done is done, in Stock Exchange law. This should have been done before the transaction was carried out.

And no action will be taken against any culprit. This is Sri Lanka.

Executive Presidency is such a powerful position. Hope you guys remember what JRJ said. "It can do anything other than changing a man to woman or vice versa!!" this what was said in a speech that was broadcasted in early 80's.. but present era we have gone beyond those limitations to restore virginity of raped women and to vote to the parliament, members who may not belongs to either of these two sex.

So...What is CSE and and Stock Exchange law you are talking about??. Executive is the supreme!! Its decision will be the last. This transaction will be reversed and people guilty of manipulation and insider dealing would be brought to justice. Thank you for the executive Presidency!!

NSB is a savings Bank an unlisted company, SEC and CSE cannot take action against NSB. Only Central Bank and Ministry of Finance can take action against the NSB. SEC can and will take action against the Stock Brokering companies, directors of listed comapnies and other who are directly involved in this transaction.

SEC has to act in the best interest of the market. I am sure they will...

People should be in vigil. Otherwise authorities will drop this case in few days, as usual. We all do have some responsibility to watch the case in the coming days, and if no action is happening, to press the authorities in whatever the way possible to take action on this case. It’s clearly a day light robbery.

SEC chairman has clearly said that brokering company and its CEO has violated the rules. And this is not the first such case against this brokerage and the CEO. They have being involved in the ACME and ALUF manipulations also.

To my understanding it's too late to cancel the transaction, President's statement would be a mere political statement.
Banker to this transaction, Sampath bank has already made the payments to relevant parties. To reverse, it would need to go through a legal procedure, isn't it?

Some signs of a dirty alliance is exposed.
-Chairmen of NSB --- Chief Justice----- Raynor Silva (one of the seller of TFC shares) ---- deleted Silva(Raynor Silva's brother)

we don't know how the money bags were shared with each other. Can Hirunika expect Justice ?????? Evil or Very Mad

-Those public servants who involved in this should be considered as TERRORISTS, because just as LTTE terrorists their aim is the Destroy our country's economy to fill their pockets.

-As sirisa news revealed, if NSB defaults the payment it's AAA rating is at a stake. So that What should be done is go ahead with the payment and recover the money from the dirty pockets of the culprits. They should sell their houses and all properties to repay the compensation and that's how justice can be prevailed. Twisted Evil

Terrorists are groomed by the government itself.
We poor civilians only cast the votes and cry for nothing.
Don't you see the court decision towards (thug,drug....) MP in Singapore?

Yes you are correct. some times they don't know their limits, they do not have professional ethics at all. They believe that they can trespass even to your bed room and report what's happening and they think it is the media freedom. Razz

At the same time those who have a Sirasa (head- more importantly a brain) Should not watch ITN news Twisted Evil

Yes ITN is bold and anyone can understand their intention but SIRASA is not like that.It declares their the best and non-biased and acts somewhat accordingly to cover up their true intention.... So that innocent people may dance to their tune thinking it is the best.
