Don't not touch at this price. ONE AND ONLY person is selling his quantities. guess who he is by a quantity reconciliation ( interim Financial Statements will work)

Let him sell his quantities at a lower price. then buy it at around 0.10

DO NOT TOUCH IF YOU LOVE YOUR MONEY

The announcement will not gonna work. I am sure. That was put to invite you guys to buy. Otherwise no one will buy this staock at this price. Next quarter Financial will be released with a massive loss which was not accounted or disclosed in the FS. The poorest governance at CIFL can be seen, do not have funds to pay salaries even Sad

But what about the Professionals who spread stories about bids and true stories in February?
when others said to sell CIFL these Proffessors said "Please do not mislead the innocent Investors because you are too greedy to pick at cheap cost. You will have to pay for these stupid one day. There are four bids currently under consideration of CIFL. So the most viable bid will be selected by the CIFL. Thanks to CBSL as a part of restructuring has referred all these prospective buyers to CIFL with confidence so that there will be no doubt about the capital reorganization"

you said only one person selling this Qty of CIFL
Then first major share holder holding only 28 million shares and
CT holding (2nd major share holder ) 12 millon shares ...
But more than 52.5 Million shares traded from 18/09/2012. after reach the highest price 11.80 on that day. that day only (18/09/2012) 8.8 million shares traded...

big Question who selling..then who buying.. ok when they manipulate lot of small investors bought this ..
but from that day to untill today they are selling selling more than 52.5 million shares(more than their holding Qty)
ok still I accept most of them buy and sell so Qty is ok...

another Question after they push up the price level up to 11.80 ...you thing they cannot find the buyer at-least @ 5/= ( even CT is not a foolish broker firm)..then why they want to dump low low price level...

I guess they push up and sold before @5/= with profit now they push down more with their balance qty because to collect more and more @ low and low price level . CHECK THE ORDER BOOK..THEY BUILD SELLING SITE every single 10 cts level LIKE TWOD (before).. most of them do same thing when they want collect then they show more selling pressure...

now ..what hapend to TWOD ..same company sold the big qty below 6/=... now who is push up then... TWOD also gave broken promiss to the customer like CIFL ...CIFL and TWOD same pattern company in the trading style now... no one cannot trust ..most of them panic sell ...so end of day all will worried

any how CIFL has NAV still 6.30 and if they change well management team then it will run with the market.. but now a days million dollor question why they announce about this 12 million dollor deal..?may be the deal story is come true ..CIFL is boom..if the story is true then why tehy are selling still???? ... so every thing is drama..only collection is going on in diffrents account name...

no one knows who bought this much of stock when the sell.. long time back REEF also sell their stock like these to the public... then what happened ..now????

may be if we wait until may 15th then we can check from interim report

So don't panic.. CIFL is good stock.. because CT is doing crook trading... they will speculate with this again..no doubt..

CIFL is maintaining "healthy" 6 Rupee AVPS while going down to 2.30 in the market. That is a good sign for an investor.

To determine its health I want to know what are the Joint venture projects it has invested 1.5 billion Rupees. ( shown in assets )

They have given details and notes about all other assets but I failed to find any info about these joint ventures with undisclosed parties.

Can anybody help me. ?

Because, this amount is seems to be very important and surprisingly no notes are provided.
( bet note 13 & 14 in last A/R 1.3 billion , now 1.55 billion)

If failed projects, it can take CIFL form positive to severe negative NAV. (+ 6 to negative 12)

CIFL hasnt got anything to move along with the market. Everyone knows that the Company is in trouble. more than anyone CBSL is also concerned not to have a GK issue.

How it will be done, and who comes to bailout all questions . The chances are very low for the recently listed company to be closed.if it happens
Then all the watchdogs have failed in their duties. Already they have, letting a financial company to go to this level, and not scrutinising their Corp Governance practices

Very Good observation chinvi. Its about 1/3 of its assets. I think Notes 24 & 25 of accounts together with paras 4 & 5 of auditor's report give some info. as follows;

"24 The company has not complied with the following directions issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka under the provisions of the Finance Companies Act No. 78 of 1988.

Direction No. 01 of 2009 Every finance company shall maintain a minimum holding of liquid assists equal to 10% of Time Deposit and Certificate of Deposit and 15% of the Saving Deposits, where as the liquid ssets of the company as at 31st March 2012, was Rs. 148,883,605/- against the requirement of Rs
264,188,414/-. Every finance company shall maintain assets in the form of Sri Lanka Government
Treasury bills, Sri Lanka Government Securities and Central Bank of Sri Lanka Securities equivalents to 7.5% of the average of its month end total deposit liabilities of twelve months of the proceeding financial year, but reflect a deficit of Rs. 156,515,431/-.

25 INVESTMENTS IN JOINT VENTURE PROJECTS

At the beginning of the financial year the Company‘s net capital investment on Homagama Joint Venture
Project was Rs. 648,814,223.00. The Company has capitalized Rs. 596,565,513.00 during the year , on account of Interest Receivable on Homagama Joint Venture Project, as per the Joint Venture Agreement. Chinwi, see page 19 of the last AR:

The Park Lane Residencies - Homagama
The Condominium units at Park Lane Residencies in Homagama are a unique concept and can be classified as the first of its kind in Sri Lanka.Located within just 10 minutes walking distance from Homagama (25 km from Colombo), the residence provides easy access to almost every part of Colombo, with the new highway system which is currently being built. The land occupies a spacious 5 acre area with beautiful surroundings.

Through the concept of ‘Nature and modernism for 21st century lifestyles’, the design of each unit allows the best panoramic view of paddy fields and some of them have views of the swimming pool. “Park Lane” is fully equipped with a swimming pool, club house, gymnasium, mini-super market and 24 hours security.

The Phase 1 of the project consisting 74 housing units, was successfully completed at the end of 2008 and all the units have been successfully sold out.

The Phase 2 of the project consist 44 semi luxury twin dual housing units & a three story 5 bedroom single
housing units is underway for sale.Since the demand for ‘Park Lane’ housing units have been increased by 66% from 2007 to 2012 up to Rs. 7.5 million per unit, the company is expecting a further 33% growth for the next two years with the completion of the new highway system connecting the south and the north of the country. The company is aiming at a very high profitability through the project.

Again, see Note 25 at page 52:

25 INVESTMENTS IN JOINT VENTURE PROJECTS
At the beginning of the financial year the Company ‘s net capital investment on Homagama Joint Venture Project was Rs. 648,814,223.00.The Company has capitalized Rs. 596,565,513.00 during the year , on account of Interest Receivable on Homagama Joint Venture Project, as per the Joint Venture Agreement.
The Company’s investment on Homagama Joint Venture Project at the end of the financial year stand at Rs. 1,335,792,473.35/-.

Hope it makes sense.
