Seems like current target price is not more than Rs 2250.

For it to hit Rs 2500, i think we have to wait till the announcement on Nestle's new investment plans as mentioned in below link:

The world’s leading wellness multinational Nestle is upbeat on Sri Lanka, albeit “cautiously”.
“We are investing and expanding in Sri Lanka. We are looking to grow in Sri Lanka markets. I am not at liberty to comment on the forthcoming investment values here but we are certainly planning. In fact, we are cautiously optimistic,” said Nestlé S.A.Executive Vice President and Zone Director for Asia, Oceania, Africa and Middle East Nandu Nandkishore – the Swiss-based Second-in-Command of Nestlé Global who is now in Colombo.

Nestlé’s Executive VP Nandkishore was addressing Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen at the inauguration of Sri Lanka’s first ever Retail Innovation Centre (RIC) created by Nestlé Lanka PLC, located at its Colombo 10 premises.

The RIC concept by Nestlé is based on Nestlé’s Retail Innovation Technology and appears as series of typical boutiques, tea boutiques and shops filled with retail merchandise which in actual practice, is geared to train FMCG distributors, consumers and shop-owners as well as to act as a testing ground of Lankan consumer behaviour on Nestlé Lanka’s rollouts. In essence, being a retail consumer and distributor testing laboratory. Also present on the occasion were Nestle India Ltd. Managing Director Etienne Benet and EDB Chairman and Nestlé Lanka PLC Vice President Corporate Affairs & Communication Bandula Egodage.

In 2012, Nestlé Global reported $ 103.4 billionn in sales with net profit of $ 11.9 billion.
“FMCG is closest to our consumers’ lives among many products,” said Minister Bathiudeen and added: “The FMCG sector growth is understandable since we see continuous GDP growth, with 7% expected this year. We are looking at FDIs, in many sectors, including infrastructure.” Minister Bathiudeen also distributed several Certificates of Achievement to achievers in Nestlé Lanka’s distribution network, which cons 6,748 groceries in Nestlé’s large grocery channel contributing to 22% of Nestlé’ Lanka PLC’s annual national sales.
Also within the Nestlé domain are 13,000 tea shops across the island which adds more than 5% to Nestlé’s annual sales here. The RIC has FMCGs (both branded and unbranded) as well as SKUs (Stock Keeping Units).

“This is basically a retail innovation centre to train our customers (sales distributors) to improve their experience in retails stores and hygiene conditions,” said Nandkishore.

Nestlé Lanka PLC has posted a revenue of Rs 8 billion for Q4. The company recorded a revenue of Rs 32.9 billion and a growth of 6.4% for the full year ending December 31, 2014.

The company posted a profit of Rs 615 million for Q4 and a profit of Rs 3.8 billion for the year ending December 31 2014, an increase of 14.2% from the previous year, supported by efficient management of the portfolio and value chain optimisation.

The Board approved a second interim dividend of Rs 28.50 per share on February 19, 2015 and has proposed a final dividend of Rs 28.00 per share for the year ended December 31, 2014, to be approved at the company's Annual General Meeting to be held on 12 May 2015.

"Despite prevailing market conditions posing significant challenges in 2014, the company continued to deliver a stable and consistent performance. We invested in enhancing the presence of our brands, and building the capabilities of our people. We continued on our mission to be a leader in Nutrition, Health and Wellness in Sri Lanka by providing our consumers with tasty and balanced food and beverages through innovation and renovation, and creating awareness on the importance of an active lifestyle,"Nestlé Lanka Managing Director Shivani Hegde said.

some people feels million as a peanut. Some people cant save 1 million even working in whole life. One guy says namal has one watch value nearly 4.6 million. I agree value dpends the environment you live. nestle has to keep aside 4 million rupees for a day from their net profit.

Some do not understand the amount of effort companies go through to have such performances. Making money legally, paying taxes, filling ones stomach and providing nutrition to the nation is not possible at the home only.

Times are a changing, and the habits are also changing.
With the talk of gender balance, equal rights and dual incomes there is no way that. We can survive without these companies. Everything is processed for our convenience and catering to our needs.

Who is going to do this job in a professional way and complying with all standards?
The government cannot do it and neither can cottage industries.
So what's left?

What's all this fuss about big corporates paying some taxes for a change. Corporates have tax consultants who incidentally happens to be their auditors. They minimise the tax payable through various gimmicks including BOI tax concessions.

The government indirect taxes have come down drastically in the past decade. The government have shamelessely opted for direct taxes from consumer essentials as this is easy for them.

Remember the uprising of youth which happened in 72 and 89? Valuable lives and properties were devastated. Do we want the same by oppressing the common people..?

Most people want to avoid the drudgery and painstaking efforts needed to live.

That's what enterprising people do as a living in making better life for others. They actually don't know what they want in life. Poor people. When will they understand?

Your question is not quite clear for me. My point is big corporates are expertly evading taxes which are essential for infrastructure development and maintenance of services.

I would prefer corporates giving their fair share to economy than more children going to school without breakfast.

Then again, I highly doubt if this super-gains tax will ever be implemented. The corporates would to the usual cajoling with the government and find someway around this. This could be just an election carrot.

Yesterday i bought at 2075 and today sold at 2200. Net profit Nearly 100 per share just one day. again i trying to pick it up at 2075.

I agree NEST is a good company. But for me, at current price NEST very much over valued. There are enough undervalued counters with good DY than NEST.

It is not a game of guess and win. You need to have the vision to see through the future and to understand the future value of a stock. Further you need to understand the pattern of cashflows. If that can be mastered then any one can save for the future retirement. No need to go after financial institutions. Just check where was the market in 2006 and where is at now and how the fundamentally strong stocks performed during that period.
