For the stock market to go up the political uncertainty must disappear and economic prosperity must take off. Look at the Early Warning signals! (EWS)
* Strong United Government after election. Very unlikely considering the current political agendas and splits.
* Re appearance of Mahinda, Basil and Gotabaya as political force which will give opposition voters and general public the sense of representations and confidence to the entire population of the country. This is the most likely Scenario.
* Economic prosperty under the present Interim Government. All economic decisions are driven by political popularity. Hence very unlikely that the present Government decisions could lead to a strong economic prosperity.
As a stock market investor, I would support reappearance of Mahinda in politics which will bring political stability to the country which will result in a bull market. I see the EWS and I do understand the pains of our investors. We want our members to be rich and happy. Therefore my decision is not politically motivated but rather stock market related.
