තරුණ කණ්ඩායම් හිටපු ජනපති මහින්ද රාජක්ෂ මහතා පරාජය කිරීමට ඡන්දය ලබාදුන්නේ 88, 89 කාලයේ මෙරට සිදුවූ භීෂණ පිළිබඳ තිබූ නොදැනුවත්කම නිසා යැයි සංගීතඥ ආචාර්ය රෝහණ වීරසිංහ මහතා කොළඹ ජාතික පුස්තකාලයේ අද (3) පැවති කලාකරුවන්ගේ හමුවකදී පැවසීය.
එම ඉතිහාසය හොඳින් විමසීමෙන් පසුව මෙවර මැතිවරණයේදී නිවැරදි තීන්දු ගැනීමට කටයුතු කරන්නැයි මෙරට තරුණ කණ්ඩායම් වලින් මෙන්ම සමස්ත ජනතාවගෙන් ඉල්ලා සිටින බවද වීරසිංහ මහතා කීවේය.

Nice to see Rohan W after a deafening silence after last election. Whatever happened to Jackson Anthony?

My take is that it is natural for people who have gained some benefits to speak in favour of some politicians. But it is quite disturbing when most of these artistes fall silent after their candidate's defeat. That way, Rohan has courage.

කොහොම උනත් පසුගිය සතියේ සිදුවූ සිදුවීම් වලින් තරුණ අයට (මොළයක් තියෙනවනම්) යහපාලන බෝනික්ක පෙන්නෙගෙන එන කට්ටියගෙ ඇතුලාන්තය ගැන යන්තමින් හෝ වැටහීමක් ලබා ගන්න හැකිවෙයි.

කොහෙද මේ මහින්ද යෙක් නිසා 2009 න් පස්සෙ ඒ වගේ චිකාගෝ සීන් බලල ආතල් එකක් ගන්න මල්ලිලට අවස්ථාවක් ලැබුනේ නැනේ. ඔන්න අපේ යහපලන පත පාතාල අයියල වැඩ පටන් ගත්ත.

(අපි නම් 8889 කාලෙ මිණී කඳු උඩින් පැනල රස්සාවට ගිය අය. ප්‍රා, කොළ කොටි, කහ කොටි , රතු කොටි ඔක්කොම ජාති අපි ඇස් දෙකෙන් දැක්ක. ඒ විතරක් නෙවි ඒවගෙ ෆයරින් ස්කොඩ් වල ඉඳපු අයියල අද සුදු රෙදි ඇඳගෙන යහපලන බණ දෙසන හැටිත් දකින්න පවු කරල තිබුන.)

Agree Chinwi, I still remember how much I lost in my youth thanks to UNP and JVP.

Out of my AL two years (89) I managed to school only about 10 months.

Had to wait 3 years at home to enter university due to backlog.

When I passed out in 1997 I came to Colmobo for my first job. Bombs were going all around and those Chandrika days of inaction we were debating about noroccholei whether to build for years and years.
War was in the losing trend big time.

After 2005 we had hopes. finally war was won. I enjoyed the best five years of my life 2009-2015 until FB lies got our new generation to believe good governance illusion.
Here we are now back to square one with a government incapable of even watering plants in the city.
Looks like things are getting brighter and people are slowly realizing the mistake and the grave danger of separation. UPFA lead by Mahinda will get the most number of votes and seats. It is in youngsters and floating voters hand to give UPFA a majority to form a stable government again to take this beautiful country forward.

If Mahinda was elected once more a massacre of youth could have been inevitable. But that can happen with UNP in future too.

It's sad to see these artists keeping their distance from the pulse of people..

Power corrupts.. and absolute power corrupts absolutely.. as they say..

Meanwhile let us enjoy "APAYE interval" for 10 more days.. Smile

Chinwi yes we didnt see many Chicogo events last few years thanks to Gota not Mahinda.
You may forgot Wambatta then :-)

There were some high profile white collar killings happened during last few years. Not in slums.
