I heard that during the recent Qatar shiek visit to Sri Lanka on invitation from the president, planing going to invest in CSE.

If anyone knows any news about this ........

Qatar is interested in buying a part of the company which is running the stock market: CSE company. Not the shares in the stock market.

Foreigners know really well what's going on. The kicking of the regulators by the big players was the last nail. That's why even Qatar is not investing in the share market. Instead they're considering building hotels directly in Colombo and other areas as per the article. More competition for the listed companies.
