EFL 3PL gives Quickee.lk a mega boost in the New Year

EXPOLANKA HOLDINGS PLC (EXPO.N0000) - Page 29 EFL-Quickee.lk-Picture1

EFL 3PL, the most technologically advanced forerunner in 3PL in Sri Lanka, marks its foray into e-commerce by taking over the hyperlocal delivery company, Quickee.lk, from its parent group Expolanka PLC, a leading conglomerate with interests in Logistics, Leisure and Investments. EFL 3PL’s strategic management of Quickee.lk reflects greater synergies between the two companies and its envisioning of a new business model for Quickee.lk which is better aligned to EFL’s dynamic 3PL capabilities since it is equipped with a fulfilment centre within Colombo to further enhance speed and efficiency in Quickee.lk’s service. Set up in 2013, Quickee.lk commenced its modest operations delivering snacks and then slowly progressed to adding restaurants and thereafter the B2B business and captured a strong customer database of organic consumers located within central Colombo. In 2019 it was taken over by Expolanka Holdings PLC. EFL 3PL’s expertise will cement Quickee.lk’s leadership at the forefront of a convenience-led retail revolution in Sri Lanka.

Hi all,

The Global COVID-19 is taking different shapes with different mutated variants popping up from UK, South Africa, Japan and few other countries. These would make the supply chain further disrupted making logistics companies ever more expanded opportunities.

Additionally, the global C19 vaccine is still at a premature level and the following link explains even not to use in UK

“I would not recommend extending the time for the second dose because there is no clinical data to support it,” Dr. Paul Offit, a prominent pediatrician and vaccine researcher at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, told Fortune. “We just don’t know for certain how long immunity lasts from a single dose beyond the four weeks.”

https://fortune.com/2021/01/12/covid-vaccine-second-dose-uk-delay-coronavirus-vaccines/?utm_medium=social&xid=soc_socialflow_facebook_FORTUNE&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=fortunemagazine&fbclid=IwAR2nHWk7PwzjIav4gHin0MwwOAM3TyH1lWuRyJ-Bntl6UXQqmQN4e_OErfA

Furthermore, USA is considering another stimulus package which will definitely create more demand for consumption goods from China.

Having all of these looks more BONUS BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY for EXPO in addition to the GLOBAL EXPANSIONS and PRODUCT DIVERSIFICATIONS made by EXPO. Therefore, future looks more lucrative

Good Luck

EXPOLANKA’s the main growth in business was Air Freight portfolio, with significant yield improvement during 1H 2020/21.
The key North America trade lane remained the largest contributor of the business. All origins have performed exceptionally well and supported the initiatives undertaken by the company in the face of dynamic market conditions. Also, the South east Indian sub-continent markets, saw a resilient turnaround during the 1H.

Now, if we review the 2H 2020/21 market conditions –we can clearly understand the trend line here, which they disclosed in their EFL’s weekly market report published on 13-01-2021.

Could expected with qtr EPS between 3 to 4 may be 5, and as per sources and freight rate growth it could really happen.

Ocean Freight is at all time high. No bargaining power for customers. Shipping lines and Freight Forwarders having best year of all time.

Before Covid, Rate (40') was USD 400 from Mumbai to Colombo. Now it is USD 1,200.

- With Export volume picking up from India, China and South East Asia and Shippers managing ship availability for tactical reason, rate can be go upward.

considering high beta, will prices fall if a market ASI retracement is seen? or will there be less effect due to high capitalization?
If want to collect more, should one wait for a dip or would you all think to collect more even at this price is okay?
Please advise

My advice for u

Expo run behind due to a main two reasons simply,

1. Due to main business growth these day experiencing

2. High expectation of massive profit for third qtr and it is highly possible with available information of their industry growth and rate increased experience in last few months.

That is not a manipulation of price. Do your own analysis further

AEL 1H EPS only Rs0.61 cents & trading @ Rs30/. EXPO with 1H EPS of Rs3.21 still trading @Rs55/. No logic
